A fire broke out Friday night at an apartment building on the 6900 block of Creishem Road in Mount Airy, according to officials with the Philadelphia Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived at the two-story building at 6:53 p.m. on Dec.4 to find “heavy fire emitting from the second floor,” said Executive Fire Chief Richard Davison.
The blaze was extinguished by 7:09 p.m.
No injuries were reported. The Red Cross, who is typically called when residents are displaced, was not notified of the fire, said Davison.
The source of the fire remains under investigation
