Annual Chestnut Hill Fall for the Arts Festival returns today
Though the weather says otherwise, autumn is in full swing with the Chestnut Hill Fall for the Arts Festival today. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. enjoy art, live music, a plethora of foods and shopping along Germantown Avenue, between Willow Grove and Rex Avenues.
More than 150 artists throughout the Mid-Atlantic region will be in attendance, displaying and selling photography, pottery, jewelry and many more types of art pieces. While you check out what all of the artists have to showcase, live entertainment will be provided on two different stages, restuarants will have outdoor seating ready for lunch or dinner.
Activities for children will be set up between the 8000- and 8600-blocks of Germantown Avenue. Children can enjoy rides and create sand art or wood.
Keep a look out for a new addition to the festival on Abington and Germantown Avenues. A performance area featuring hip-hop, zumba, capoeria, Scottish dancing and South Pacific island dancing will occupy that space.
