Cape May Airport to get $3.5M in federal grants for runway repairs
Cape May Airport’s operators are getting $3.5 million in federal funding to improve its runway and tarmac.
The Press of Atlantic City reports U.S. Rep. Frank LoBiondo announced that the Delaware River & Bay Authority will receive the grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The funds will be used to rehabilitate one of the airport’s runways and extend a taxiway.
The airport is the site of several federal drone research projects and a growing commercial and industrial park.
