A year in transit: PlanPhilly looks back at 2011 transportation stories

    What a year it’s been.

SEPTA’s had an interesting 2011, and most of the stories PlanPhilly highlighted as some of the bigger to-dos will continue into 2012.
Like the Silverliner V cars. Their implementation has been delayed, so expect plenty more updates in the New Year. Also topping a year in transit news are SEPTA’s smart fare system and the parklets that popped up in West Philly.

And of course, funding was big news — for highways, bus stations, regional rail improvements and Amtrak.
