Jeff Shields and Thomas Fitzgerald outline the story of the World Trade Center, a high-rise mixed-use development project proposed at Columbus Boulevard and Callowhill Street in Old City.  The 20-year old saga has many twists and turns, including a lawsuit filed by developer Waterfront Renaissance Associates over a height limit ordinance passed in 2006, which the developer asserts was designed to block the project.
