5th District : Man treated for arm burns after cologne is poured and lit

July 30, 2012

3700 block Sharp St. – Five shirts and a pair of shorts were stolen from a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe.

3900 block Terrace St. – Sunglasses and $2 stolen from a 2007 GMC truck.

4500 block Wilde St. – Vacuum cleaner, tool box and tools were stolen from a 2009 Chevy truck.

July 31, 2012

7000 block Ridge Ave. – Cannondale dirt bike stolen at the location.

8500 block Henry Ave. – A woman was arrested for shoplifting from a department store. Offender was caught with jewelry, sleep wear, perfume and two pairs of sunglasses. Those items were recovered.

Aug. 1, 2012

200 block Salaignac St. – Complainant said that an offender poured men’s cologne on his arm and then lit the liquid on fire with the lighter. Complainant was taken to the hospital and treated for burns. Complainant’s moth told police that her son has the mental capacity of a young child.

400 block Leverington Ave. – Handgun stolen from the property.

Aug. 3, 2012

Parker Ave. – Complainant said that her son threw a phone at her and threatened to have his live-in girlfriend beat her up during a dispute over living conditions. There were no reported injuries.

300 block Parker Ave. – Complainant said two men struck him in the head with an unknown object. Complainant, who was intoxicated, was taken to the hospital.

200 block Krams Ave. – Silver watch, gold chain, DKNY watch and an Apple iPAD.

4500 block Pechin St. / Krams Ave. – 1993 Toyota Corolla stolen.
