39th Police District: Where cops get bitten in the line of duty

June 8, 2012

3000 block Stokley St. – Eight 145-pound batteries and several grounding cables stolen at the location.

3200 block Authority Terrace – Two men were each shot several times at the location. Both were taken to the hospital where one is listed in stable condition, the other in critical condition.

3600 block N. Erie Ave. – Complainant said a young man snatched her cell phone out of her hand while she was heading towards the subway.

1700 block W. Lehigh Ave. – Coach purse containing a birth certificate, bank card and passport was stolen from the property.

2700 block N. 25th St. – A man was arrested after he kicked, punched and bit a police officer. Offender was already wanted for aggravated assault for an unrelated incident.

3100 block N. 29th St. – HP laptop stolen from the property.

2800 block N. Garnet St. – Complainant said a known offender cut her forehead with a knife. Offender was arrested.

June 9, 2012

5500 block Wissahickon Ave. – 1996 Dodge Stratus stolen.

500 block Queen Lane – Cannondale bike stolen at the location.

3100 block Midvale Ave. – Diamond rings, bracelets, necklaces, watches and $20,000 stolen from the property.

3600 block N. 22nd St. – A man and a woman were both arrested after each assaulted one another during a dispute. The male offender hit the complainant in the mouth and on the right side of the head. The female offender hit the man in the head with a brick and bit his hand.

3200 block N. 16th St. – Black cell phone and $100 stolen from the property.

2700 block N. 15th St. – Garmin GPS, car charger, various CDs, Tiffany heart necklace stolen from a car.

June 10, 2012

Rittenhouse St. / Lincoln Drive – iPhone was stolen from a 2011 Toyota Matrix.

1900 block W. Butler St. – 2006 Chevy Colorado stolen.

3300 block N. 22nd St. – Computer speakers, Samsung digital camera, $20 and a Sony camcorder were stolen from the property.

June 11, 2012

4900 block Keyser St. – A man said he was shot once in the lower left back by a man who fled in a Chevy Impala. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

100 block W. Logan St. – A man was shot in the right side of his hip. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Unit block W. Logan St. – Dell laptop and a Gateway computer were stolen from a private school at the location.

1700 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – A teenage boy was knocked unconscious by a male offender inside a school at the location. The offender also kicked and punched the complainant while was on the ground. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

1700 block W. Ontario St. – 42-inch Phillips flat-screen TV stolen from the property.

1800 block W. Hunting Park Ave. – Complainant said a man tried to rob him at gunpoint.

2100 block W. Somerset St. – 2001 Saturn L200 stolen.

June 12, 2012

3700 block Midvale Ave. – Xbox 360 and $150 stolen from the property.

100 block W. Logan St. – A man was shot once in the left side during an armed robbery attempt. Offender fled. Nothing was taken. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

2700 block W. Abbotsford Ave. – 1996 Ford Taurus stolen.

400 block W. Price St. – iPhone and charger stolen from the property.

2800 block Midvale Ave. – Prescription sunglasses and a GPS stolen from a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer. Two other cars – a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant and a 2002 Burgundy Saturn – were ransacked during the incident.

5200 block Germantown Ave. – Complainant said four men robbed him after he got off the bus. One of the offenders approached him from behind and punched him in the right side of his face. The remaining offenders went through the complainant’s pockets. Offenders fled with a Sony Ericsson cell phone, Wells Fargo debit card and $8.

3500 block N. 18th St. – Complainant said his girlfriend stabbed him in the left forearm with an unknown object during a dispute. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

1400 block Butler St. – Plumbing tools, cordless drill and a grinder were stolen from a 2000 Ford Windstar.

1700 block W. Erie Ave. – Paperwork, E-Z Pass, radio, iPod Touch, two car chargers and a pair of prescription glasses stolen from a 2003 Toyota.

June 13, 2012

2900 block W. School House Lane – iPod Touch stolen from a 2011 Toyota Avalon.

2900 block Midvale Avenue – GPS and iPod classic stolen from a 2000 Mercury Sable.

100 block Manheim St. – Two sets of wood doors with stained glass, brake machine and two window air conditioners were stolen from the property.

400 block W. Abbotsford Ave. – Laptop computer, jewelry, plastic bag filled with old dollar bills and silver coins and luggage stolen from the property.

5000 block Wissahickon Ave. – 1998 Chrysler Sebring stolen.

3500 block N. 18th St. – Fossil watch, Mason ring, diamond ring, Mason diamond ring stolen from the property.

1900 block W. Carey St. – Factory radio stolen from 2000 Mercury.

1900 block Ruffner St. – 2000 Nissan Maxima stolen.

3500 block N. 21st St. – Xbox, 42-inch Emerson TV, Gateway laptop and four video games stolen from the property.

June 14, 2012

300 block Manheim St. – Car radio stolen from a 2004 GMC Yukon.

400 block W. School House Lane – GPS, wallet, iPod dock, ear phones and $23.

4100 block N. 16th St. – 1998 Dodge LE stolen.
