Jammin’ with Altman and Onion Flats

Brad Maule, whose www.phillyskyline.com is a must daily read for planners, politicians and journos in the CBL, did his best David Susskind Monday night at Johnny Brenda’s in Fishtown.

The blogger about all things built tall, moderated a panel discussion branded “For the Curious …” that featured new Deputy Mayor for Commerce and Planning Andy Altman and the principals from Onion Flats,  the city’s trailblazers in sustainable building.

The setting was funky, the beer flowed and the conversation was open and engaging as audience members fired questions at the panel.

PlanPhilly filmed the event and brings you four video segments featuring Philly native Altman talking about riverfront development, the value of going green and his return to Fishtown and NoLibs after 20 years on the road.

Enjoy.

Part I: Draw of the river

Part II: Riverfront as public space

Part III: The value of going with green
