3 in custody after shots fired at Philadelphia officers

Philadelphia police say three robbery suspects are in custody after one of them fired shots at officers.

Police didn’t return fire and none of the officers was hurt in the shooting about 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Police say police were looking for the men after they allegedly robbed a man of his wallet at gunpoint. The men were seen in a dark pickup truck, which police found and began pursuing. Police lost sight of the truck, but caught up to it and ran after the men when they got out and fled on foot.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says that’s when one of the suspects fired shots at the officers.
