$12 million for Hunting Park’s Bakers Centre development
The Bakers Centre Shoppinc complex is formerly known as Bakers Square and is the former site of Tasty Baking Co., but it’s currently getting money.
Sen. Vincent Hughes today will announce $12 million in Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program funding for the Hunting Park development. He’ll join Councilman Curtis Jones, Rep. Jewell Williams, Mayor Michael Nutter and the presidents of Metro Development Realty and Brown’s Super Stores for the presentation.
Ground was broken in March on the shopping complex. The 30-acre site will house a supermarket and other retailers.
