Time to Spring forward
Believe it or not we have officially arrived at springtime. This Saturday, March 20th to be exact. Even though we often think of spring coming to us, in astronomical terms we arrive at this point. The rotation of the earth has recently gotten a little faster after the earthquake that hit Chile weeks ago. What are the mechanisms actually involved in changing the rotation of the earth?
