But low pay and job insecurity have led many adjuncts around the country to try to unions to get better working conditions. .Today we’ll look at why adjuncts are on the rise, what it means for the part-time teachers, and the effect the trend is having in higher education. Marty talks with DEBRA LEIGH SCOTT, a writer and educator who has been an adjunct for over 15 years and is working on a documentary and book on the topic and ADRIANNA KEZAR, Professor of Higher Education at the University of Southern California.
