William Greider, on financial reform and more
ListenHour 2
Political journalist WILLIAM GREIDER has been taking on the conventional wisdom in U.S. politics and economics for four decades. Now the national affairs correspondent for The Nation, Greider has written several books, including Come Home, America: The Rise and Fall (and Redeeming Promise) of Our Country, which is just out in paperback. It continues Greider’s well established tradition of challenging Beltway and Wall Street thinking that works against the interest of average Americans. Yesterday, Greider delivered the keynote speech at Villanova University’s symposium on “Economic Crisis and the Common Good: Local and Global Dimensions,” (pdf) and he’s Marty’s guest on today’s Radio Times.
