Who’s running for Philly D.A.?

Listen 00:49:30

Guests: Dave Davies, Holly Otterbein

Seven Democrats and one Republican are running to be Philadelphia’s next District Attorney. Absent from this list is current D.A. Seth Williams, who is not seeking reelection due to an indictment for corruption and bribery.  Since the city’s democratic party has not thrown their weight behind any particular candidate, the field doesn’t seem like it’s going to narrow at all before the May 16th primary.  So, today on Radio Times, Marty is joined by WHYY’s DAVE DAVIES and Philadelphia Magazine’s HOLLY OTTERBEIN to help us get an understanding of each candidate’s background and priorities. And, we’ll also hear about the Democratic primary race for Philadelphia Controller, between incumbent Alan Butkovitz and city treasurer, Rebecca Rhynhart.
