Listen 00:49:46

Guests: Rukmini Callimachi, Ali Al-Ahmend, Laura Rozen

President Trump wrapped up his tour of the Middle East earlier this week in Israel, following a warm welcome in Saudi Arabia.  Appearing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump made clear that his administration will take a harder line against Israeli and Saudi foe, Iran.   Today, we’ll talk about Trump’s visit to the area, how it was received by Middle-Eastern nations, and what it means for international counterterrorism efforts.  We’re joined by ALI AL-AHMED, director of the Institute for Gulf Affairs, and by LAURA ROZEN, diplomatic correspondent for Al-Monitor.  But first, Marty talks with RUKMINI CALLIMACHI, correspondent for The New York Times, about the terrorist attack in Manchester and ISIS’ claim of responsibility.
