The year in TV

Listen 00:48:45

Guests: Willa Paskin, Ellen Gray

We continue our week of looking back at 2015 by discussing the year in television. This was the year that we first saw the term “peak TV” – the oversaturation of original programming available to audiences on cable and online. We continued “binge watching” entire seasons of TV shows. There were also many shake-ups in the world of late night talk shows, including Stephen Colbert’s takeover of David Letterman’s post at CBS and the retirement of Jon Stewart from “The Daily Show.” We’ll discuss all of this and more with our guests, television critics WILLA PASKIN of Slate and ELLEN GRAY from the Philadelphia Daily News. We’ll also get their picks of the best shows of the year.
