The Trump/Kim summit

Listen 48:56

Guests: John Tierney, Trudy Rubin, Michael Green

President Trump met Supreme Leader of North Korea Kim and signed a preliminary denationalization agreement this morning. The lead up to the long-anticipated summit was a rocky one, but the final result was an unconventional meeting that marks the first time a sitting American President has met face-to-face with the leader of the DPRK.  Today on the show, we’ll go over what happened at the summit, the agreement, what to expect from the two countries and our allies moving forward. Joining us is JOHN TIERNEY, Executive Director of the Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation and former Congressman, MICHAEL GREEN, senior vice president for Asia at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a professor at Georgetown University, and TRUDY RUBIN, who writes the “Worldview” column for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
