Sara Watkins
Sara Watkins, the Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, may be best known for her work in the Nickel Creek band. Their progressive sound, carried elements of folk, bluegrass and stellar harmonies, has a twinge of singer/songwriter pop as well. Sara is now doing her solo tour, with juxtapositions of hill country music and downtown L.A. styles. She and her brother, Sean Watkins, also of Nickel Creek, host the popular “Watkins Family Hour,” which hosts world class artists. In this episode, we will explore this unique musically blended style, and the inspiration behind it.
