On today’s Regional Roundup: We begin with PlanPhilly’s RYAN BRIGGS, who will tell us about the Philadelphia City Council’s poorly managed system of selling off public land and how the stagnant process has perpetuated the city’s vacant lot problem. Then, POLITICO New Jersey’s RYAN HUTCHINS will break down New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s recent budget address, in which he proposed a controversial millionaires tax and projected revenue for legal marijuana. Finally; a recent report from The Army Corp of Engineers and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection finds that the cost of repairing future damage to the Jersey coastline caused by climate change could be in the billions. PETER BLUM, Chief of Planning at the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Philadelphia District, and DAVID ROSENBLATT, Assistant Commissioner for Engineering and Construction at the New Jersey DEP join us.
