NJ Senate Primary Debate

Listen

Guests: Patrick Murray, Kate Zernike

Last night the four Democratic candidates for New Jersey’s U.S. Senate primary faced off in their second debate. According to a poll this week, Newark Mayor Cory Booker still has a double digit lead in front of Congressmen Rush Holt and Frank Pallone, and State Assembly speaker Sheila Oliver. The winner of the Democratic primary will face the Republican challenger, either former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan or Franklin township physician Alieta Eck, in the October 16th special election. This hour, we get reaction and analysis to the debate and the Senate race.  Guest host Tracey Matisak talks Garden state politics with PATRICK MURRAY, Director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute and KATE ZERNIKE, National correspondent for the New York Times.
