Our coverage of the debate in Washington over raising the debt ceiling continues.  We’ll start off this hour getting a reading on the opinion of American voters when it comes to the stalemate in Congress from Matt Cooper of the National Journal, whose  poll last week found Americans expressing more faith in the White House than in Congress.  Then, Wharton professor Stuart Diamond shares his perspective on where the negotiations on Capitol Hill went wrong.  He teaches negotiation skills and is the author of Getting More: How to Negotiate to Achieve Your Goals in the Real World.  Finally, Princeton historian Julian Zelizer joins us to provide an historical perspective on congressional deadlock.
