Good TV worth watching

GUEST: DAVID BIANCULLI

With all the changes in styles of viewing, following TV shows is still an American pastime. We can become distracted by all the options of when and how we watch – traditional TV, streaming online, DVR, Video-on-Demand, and subscription. We follow our favorite characters through our tablets, smart phones and old-fashioned TVs. But an increasing challenge is staying up on choosing what to watch as a lot of the quality of programming is high. Most of these series are dramas, and much of these we pay for, as the traditional networks haven’t been able to compete with the diverse characters, complicated plot lines and story developments of their cable cousins. We invited NPR’s Fresh Air with Terry Gross film critic and tvworthwatching.com founder DAVID BIANCULLI to come in to discuss what he thinks jumps off the screen and we’ll play some clips of our favorite shows.
