The University of Delaware class of 2016 graduated last weekend. It will be the only class under the watch of President Nancy Targett. Delaware education reporter Avi Wolfman-Arent sat down with UD’s outgoing president this week.

Wilmington Mayoral Debate
Seven Democratic candidates trying to unseat Wilmington Mayor Dennis Williams took part in the second in a series of debates sponsored by WHYY and The News Journal. The debate focused on public safety, including the shooting death by Wilmington police officers of wheelchair-bound Jeremy McDole.

First Experience: Richard Clifton
Richard Clifton loves birds and wildlife. He was inspired by nature while growing up on his family’s Delaware farm. He’s especially interested in painting ducks. He has won the federal duck stamp competition multiple times and has designed duck stamps for many states, including Delaware. His work is our First Experience.
