Up in smoke?

Two years ago, Governor Markell signed Delaware’s medical marijuana law. But after threats from the federal government, the state has yet to open any compassion centers for patients to access their medicinal pot. It’s frustrated patients and has others living in fear. We talked with one of those patients about his effort to get the law implemented in this week’s First Look.

Zipping Delaware

Go Ape is now open in Delaware. The treetop adventure course gives thrill seekers the chance to see Lums Pond from 50 feet up. First checked out the course when it was still under construction.

First Person: Dave Douglass

Dave Douglass is a jazz musician who played his first Clifford Brown Jazz festival in Wilmington. He counts Brown as a musical influence. First Person travels to Rodney Square to learn more.

Content Delaware

We’ve done a lot of stories on First about the farm to table craze, taking fresh products produced locally and using them in area restaurant dishes. The Historic Lewes Farmers Market is a great example of that. Now in it’s 7th year, the market is a real summer time treat. Our video partner Content Delaware shows us why.

The Clifford Brown Jazz Festival

We head back outside to show you a part of the performance from this week’s Clifford Brown Jazz Festival. Here is the Benny Golson Jazz Quartet.

First Experience: Fearless Improv

Making something out of nothing is hard to do. Unless of course you are the Fearless Improv troupe. They are a part of the City Theater Company, and they have figured out the recipe to put on the best show. Take a scoop of imagination and a dash of audience participation. It makes for a great First Experience.
