Final election preview: Sandy-stricken campaigns in NJ, PA & DE

As we head into the final few days before Tuesday’s election, Radio Times looks at the presidential campaign and key races throughout the Delaware Valley. Joining us from New Jersey is BOB INGLE, senior political columnist for Gannett New Jersey newspapers, who’s been covering a tumultuous week in a Garden State ravaged by Hurricane Sandy. Ingle, who co-authored a book on Governor Chris Christie, will discuss the governor’s response to Sandy and embrace of President Obama’s aid and the potential impact on Tuesday’s voter turnout. Then, the Philadelphia Inquirer’s JONATHAN TAMARI will run down the races he’s following in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, from the congressional race pitting former Eagles lineman and Republican incumbent Jon Runyan against the widow of the man he ousted in 2010, Democrat Shelly Adler, the congressional matchups in Philadelphia’s contested suburbs to the Senate contest between incumbent Democrat Bob Casey and Republican challenger Tom Smith to the presidential campaign. Then, we’ll get a Delaware update from Delaware State University political scientist SAM HOFF as the First State recovers from its own brush with Hurricane Sandy, as Gov. Markell seeks re-election and the state’s Republican Party seeks a return to relevancy.
