Last week a bill to combat human trafficking passed unanimously in the Pennsylvania State Senate.  The legislation strengthens the prosecution of criminals, educates first responders and increases awareness about trafficking crimes.  Sex trafficking, where people (often women and children) are forced or coerced into the commercial sex trade, appears to be on the rise. This hour, how to fight sex trafficking in our region and how to support the victims of this horrible crime.  Guest host Tracey Matisak talks with MARY DEFUSCO, Director of Training and recruitment for the Defender Association of Philadelphia, SHEA RHODES, attorney and human trafficking advocate.  And we’ll hear from Pennsylvania State Senator STEWART GREENLEAF, a Republican representing the 12th District and KATE KEISEL, Director of Polaris Project New Jersey.
