2014 is a record year for auto recalls. Already 52 million cars have been recalled by a long list of manufactures due to defective airbags, ignitions, gas leaks, stalling problems and more. While about a third of owners never bring in their cars to be repaired, those who do face long repair wait times. So what do all these recalls say about the modern automobile industry? Guest host Mary Cummings-Jordan talks with MICHELINE MAYNARD, former Detroit bureau chief for the New York Times, about the state of car industry.
