Ballot Talks: Tom Wolf’s Cabinet; federal nominees

Listen

Guests: Marc Levy, Russell Wheeler, and Colby Itkowitz

In this week’s edition of Ballot Talks: we take a look at Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf’s cabinet appointments, as well as numerous federal nominees that are pending confirmation. First, we’ll hear from MARC LEVY, Harrisburg reporter for The Associated Press, about Governor Wolf’s recent picks to join his cabinet. We’ll also look at Wolf’s recalls of former-Governor Tom Corbett’s selections for a number state posts and the stir that it has caused. Then we’ll speak with RUSSELL WHEELER of The Brookings Institution about President Obama’s judicial nominees and where things currently stand. Marty will also examine Obama’s nominee for Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, with COLBY ITKOWITZ of The Washington Post. She’ll discuss the way in which the federal nomination process works, how nominees are received by a hostile legislature, and concerns about the revolving door between the business and government world, and more.
