Award-winning Philadelphia chefs serve up muliticultural Thanksgiving tips

Listen

Hour 2

Marty discusses multicultural cooking and preparing a family feast with two local chefs on Thanksgiving Eve: “Best Chef, Mid-Atlantic 2011” James Beard Award-winner MICHAEL SOLOMONOV, executive chef at Philadelphia’s Zahav and partner in Percy Street Barbeque and Federal Donuts. And Bravo’s Top Chef Season Seven winner KEVIN SBRAGA, chef and owner of the new Broad Street restaurant, SBRAGA. Both chefs were introduced to kitchens by working in bakeries – Sbraga in his family’s New Jersey stores, and Solomonov in Israel. We’ll discuss preparing meals incorporating Southern-style American, Italian, Puerto Rican and Israeli influences. And we’ll find out if a chef can ‘turn it off’ when enjoying food with their families on the holidays.
