Assessing the vice presidential debate

Listen

Hour 1

We’ll dissect the vice-presidential debate last night between Vice President Joe Biden and Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin with a pair of political analysts who have observed the candidates for a long time from nearby but far away on the political spectrum. From Wisconsin and the left, we are joined by JOHN NICHOLS, Washington correspondent for the The Nation magazine and associate editor of the Capital Times, the daily newspaper in Madison, Wisconsin. And from Delaware and the right, we’re joined by JOHN E. STAPLEFORD, director of the Center for Economic Policy and Analysis at the Caesar Rodney Institute.
