Half of American workers didn’t take all the paid vacation days they were entitled to in 2017. Why are so many of us unwilling or unable to take the vacation days that we’ve earned? Is it the nature of modern work, or a national mentality that makes getting away so difficult? And what about those workers who don’t get paid time off benefits, who aren’t even afforded the opportunity to take a break without imperiling their job security or taking a financial hit?
