A Good Divorce

Listen

Hour 1

Former Governor Ed Rendell and his wife, federal judge Margorie Rendell, announced last week that they were separating, but amicably.  In fact, in an email to friends the Rendells said “Please do not hesitate to include both of us in social occasions as we will not find it awkward or uncomfortable.” This got us thinking about the idea of a good divorce — does it really exist and what is it?   This hour, we’ll look at divorce in this country which has declined in recent years.  Marty talks about breakups with PAUL AMATO, a Professor of Sociology and Demography at Penn State University and EDWARD MONTE, a couples therapist with Centra, a multidisciplinary group practice.
