A Full Moon, Meteors and Asteroids

Following the harvest moon of last month, the Hunters moon is waxing this week, which means it’s working up to a full moon.  There is a meteor shower to keep an eye out for on Thursday called the Orionid meteor show. The meteors seem to come from a radiant point in the constellation, Orion, hence its name. When looking for these meteors you would find them to be fast and bright, but sadly the light of the moon coming into its full phase will drown some of this out. Also, an asteroid has a close pass with earth.[audio: st20101018.mp3]
