Listen

Hour 1

You’re playing in a public park with your kids, riding on public transit or shopping in a supermarket and witness a parent cursing at and/or pushing their child. What is the right thing to do? Is it the business of a stranger to intervene? Our guest, Philadelphia magazine reporter VICTOR FIORILLO, has had the misfortune of standing up for young children he’s seen being hit by their parents, and has blogged about his experiences in phillymag.com. Joining him is JOSHUA HALBERSTAM, author of Everyday Ethics: Inspired Solutions to Everyday Dilemmas; and DR. MARIA D. McCOLGAN, Director of the Child Protection Program at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, and the pediatric advisor to Prevent Child Abuse PA.
