Work on flood-damaged Route 20 starts

Work on flood-damaged Route 20 in Seaford starts this week.

The portion of Stein Highway/Route 20 over the Chapel Branch west of Seaford will be repaired this week.  Heavy rains in recent weeks caused scour damage to the bridge footings and washed-out portions of the road.  DelDOT crews will add concrete support around the footings and repair the roadway.  The work is expected to be finished by Friday.  The road has been closed since September 8.
