Woman stabbed man to death at the Jersey Shore, prosecutor says

    Bail is set at $1 million for a woman accused of stabbing a man to death in Neptune Township.

    Authorities on Monday charged 24-year-old Monique Moore with murder and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

    It’s not known if she has a lawyer.

    Prosecutors say Moore stabbed 29-year-old Joseph Wilson during a dispute the couple was having in an apartment late Sunday night.

    Neptune police officers responded to a series of 911 calls reporting the stabbing at 1130 Heck Avenue and found Wilson outside with “grave injuries,” Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni said. 

    Officers immediately began administering life-saving measures, the prosecutor added. 

    Wilson died early Monday at the nearby Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. 

    If convicted of murder, Moore faces a minimum sentence of 30 years in state prison with parole ineligiblty.
