Woman killed, 3 people injured in Galloway, NJ crash

A woman was killed and three people were taken to hospitals after two vehicles collided on a southern New Jersey roadway.

Galloway Township police say 33-year-old township resident Kathia Cruz was killed in the crash, which occurred around 6:20 p.m. Saturday on Aloe Street.

Police say Cruz was driving eastbound when she ran a stop sign. Her car collided with a sport utility vehicle driven by 38-year-old township resident Robert Gardner, forcing both vehicles off the roadway.

Cruz was taken to a hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later. Two passengers in her car were hospitalized with “serious” injuries, but further details were not disclosed.
