Woman found dead in suspicious Mt. Airy fire

A woman on the 1200 block of E. Cliveden St. was found dead as firefighters were called to the scene to fight a blaze early Monday morning.

According to earlier reports, rescuers found 27-year-old Rosalyn Daniels in her grandmotherís East Mt. Airy home. According to police, Daniels was pronounced dead at the scene; her body was found with lacerations to the neck. Detectives are investigating but the death has not been ruled a homicide at press time.

According to fire officials, the fire call came in at 12:09 a.m. Monday morning. Firefighters brought the second floor blaze under control in 20 minutes. An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
