Woman attacked and robbed in her Mt. Airy home

Philadelphia Police are searching for three unidentified men who attacked a woman as she entered her home on 100 W. Cliveden St. on Tuesday.

According to the police report, the men approached the woman from an alleyway adjacent to her home and forced her inside while pointing handguns at her.

Once they were inside her home, the gunmen took her keys and demanded money. The women informed them that she had a safe upstairs, but needed her keys in order to open it. One of the offenders then struck the woman on the side of her head with his handgun. She opened the safe and gave the offenders a total of $650.

Police say the offenders were all around 5’8″ to 5’10” in height and wore ski masks. Anyone with more information is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS (8477).
