Wilmington streets closed after police chase, shooting

Two people are in custody after a wild shootout on a Wilmington street Monday afternoon.

An undercover officer in an unmarked car spotted a silver Buick racing through the intersection of West 35th and Market Streets just before 1pm.

As the unmarked police car gave chase one the people in the Buick fired several shots at police, striking the windshield on the passenger side of the car.

Their car crashed into a parked car in the 2800 block of North West Street.  The three people ran out of the car. Police chased after them and captured two.  Another person is still at large.
