Wilmington stabbing victim dies

A Wilmington woman who was stabbed two weeks ago died at Christiana Hospital, Sunday, as a result of her injuries.

Samantha Neuwien, 34, was found inside her apartment in the 300 block of N. Shipley Street after police received a 911 call, July 12, reporting an unresponsive female. When officers arrived, they found Neuwien suffering from stab wounds.

Wilmington Police do not have any suspects, but the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information can call Detective Pete Leccia, 302-576-3647, or the department’s confidential tip line at 302-576-3990.
