Artist lineup announced for Wilmington jazz festival
Several world-class musicians are scheduled to take the stage at Wilmington’s 26th DuPont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival.
On Thursday, city officials announced the lineup at one of the largest free festivals in the region, which honors Wilmington’s own jazz legend, Clifford Brown.
“The Clifford Brown Jazz Festival is a staple of Wilmington’s performing arts culture,” Mayor Dennis P. Williams said. “The City is excited to celebrate the 26th anniversary and I hope the community gets involved and enjoys all of the many activities the festival has to offer.”

New this year, the DuPont Clifford Brown Jazz Festival will feature a reception called “Sax in the City” following the June 19 performance. The ticketed event will be held in the newly-renovated Wilmington Public Library, and will feature two floors of live music, entertainment, food and drink tastings.
Tickets are $25 and all proceeds from will benefit Cityfest, a non-profit organization that contributes to arts and cultural programs in Wilmington.
The Silver Trumpet Block Party reception will also return this year. The free event will take place on June 20 on Market Street between 8th and 10th streets.
