Wilmington man arrested in police impersonation

New Castle County Police have arrested a Wilmington man on charges of impersonating a police officer.

Police said Monday that they arrested 46-year-old Edward Lindenhofen after getting a report Sunday about a suspicious person.

Police say Lindenhofen claimed to be a police officer investigating a domestic dispute at a Wilmington home. When confronted by a homeowner, police say Lindenhofen fled.

He was arrested later Sunday without incident.
