Weekend shuttle service coming to Lansdale/Doylestown Line

Weekend shuttle service on the Chestnut Hill West Line wrapped up a few weeks ago, and without skipping a beat, SEPTA has announced its next series of weekend shuttling. This time weekend shuttles will replace service between Lansdale and Doylestown stations on the Lansdale/Doylestown Line.

The regular regional rail service will be replaced with weekend shuttles beginning Sept. 14 and continuing through Oct. 27 – a total of seven weekends. During that time SEPTA’s inhouse engineering, construction and maintenance crews will complete necessary overhead wire work.

Passengers traveling inbound from Doylestown Station will board shuttle busses approximately 15-20 minutes earlier than the regularly scheduled trains. Those shuttles will make all stops before dropping passengers off at Lansdale Station, where they can catch the regularly scheduled trains.

Trains traveling outbound from Center City toward Doylestown will operate as far as Lansdale at the regularly scheduled times. Passengers traveling to stations beyond Lansdale will board shuttle busses at Lansdale Station to complete their trip. Shuttle bus departures from Lansdale Station will be later than the regularly scheduled trains.

A timetable of schedule adjustments related to the shuttle service is available online and will be posted at the stations.
