Weekend News Briefs: 4/23-4/25

Friday — Three people have been accused of vandalizing Mayfair’s John Perzel Community Center. Timothy Jensen and Anthony Morrison, 26, and 23-year-old Brianna Gebelein have been charged with criminal trespassing, criminal mischief and criminal conspiracy after a witness caught them spray painting the building.

Saturday — A fight outside a bar left a man in critical condition. According to reports, two men got into an argument outside Hammerheads Bar in Mayfair, when one punched the other. The man who was punched fell to the ground and hit his head. The suspect has not been found.

Sunday — Three women escaped from a burning home early Sunday morning. A fire broke out in the 3400-block of St. Vincent Street, leaving the second story engulfed in flames. Firefighters arrived around 3 a.m., and rescued two women, while a third jumped from a window.  All three women are expected to recover, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
