Ever think about running for office?  There’s a new website that will give you all the information you need to launch a campaign in Philadelphia.

Plugging your address in at the runforoffice.org site will show all the offices you’re eligible to run for, said Emily Schwartz, vice president of organizing at the parent company, Nation Builder.

“We have a bit of a crisis of leadership in our country where only about 2 percent of Americans are ever opting to run for office, and we have over 500,000 elected offices in the United States,” she said.

The website is designed to make the process easier for those who want to start a career in politics or just make a difference in their community, she said.

“It tells you what the next filing deadline is, the summary of the job, where  you would go to fill out the forms and if the position is paid or unpaid,” she said.

For now the city of Philadelphia is online, Schwartz said, as the organization works to include suburban areas.
