Volunteers pack food for thousands
Volunteers, including Senator Tom Carper (D) will gather today at Mountaire Farms to pack food boxes for more than 45,000 people in Delaware and Maryland.
It’s part of the company’s 16th annual Thanksgiving for Thousands event started in cooperation with Dagsboro Church of God. That first year, the two groups combined to pack and deliver 90 boxes of food. Today, volunteers will put together 6,600 boxes of food for the needy.
