The 2017 Vintage Base Ball season gets underway with an opening day match at Historic Basto Village in Hammonton this Saturday.

The Elizabeth Resolutes will compete against the Hoboken Nine in a double header starting at 11 a.m..

The two clubs are part of a league that reenacts baseball as it was played in the 19th century, using official rules from the era.

That means the match will be played bare-handed.
