Laura Murphy, a member of Occupy Sandy Relief, says rebuilding efforts should not just be aimed at bringing back the tourists. The group she represents highlights the needs of many lower income residents who were impacted by Superstorm Sandy, but have not been the focus of the state’s recovery efforts.

Murphy was one of 60 people who participated in WHYY’s Ready for Next Time? Rethinking the Shore After Sandy forums. It was held at our studios on Monday, July 15, 2013. During each session we set up our “Two Minute Testimonial” video booth. This gives anyone a chance to share their thoughts about the Jersey shore.
