Victims identified in Delaware double fatal crash

Delaware State Police identified Shane Colby and Enoch Lee, both 21, as the two victims killed in an early morning crash in Newark.

The collision occurred on Polly Drummond Hill Road, north of Old Coach Road at 12:05 a.m. DSP said Colby, who was behind the wheel of an Audi A4, was speeding when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the roadway.

Traveling southbound, Colby crossed over into the northbound lane of Polly Drummond Hill Road before hitting a Chevrolet Suburban head on and flipping over.

Mark DeSantis, 48, of Newark was driving the SUV. He was taken to Christiana Hospital Trauma Center where he was admitted for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

The two 21-year-olds, both of Newark, were wearing seat belts at the time. Trapped inside the A4, Colby and Lee had to be extricated and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation, but DSP said no charges are expected to be filed.
